This book is an essential history for anyone who has ever been to, or has an interest in Dealey Plaza, the Dallas, Texas site of the November 22, 1963 assassination of President, John F. Kennedy.

You have possibly visited Dealey Plaza, in Dallas, Texas. You may have gone up to the Sixth Floor Exhibit at Dealey Plaza, walked around behind the stockade fence, or on the “Grassy Knoll”. You may have noted the angles, discussed the locations of the witnesses, walked along the route, walked around the railroad yard, and stood and read the plaques. You may have read many of the books, visited the museums and exhibits, viewed the displays, and discussed the various conspiracy theories.

Yet, Dealey Plaza is much more than the location of that terrible November event. It is also the birthplace of Dallas. Most major events in Dallas history have occurred here, yet most of its visitors remain unaware of the history this 3 acre site represents, and of the man for whom the Plaza was named.

This book discusses the history before that November event which Dealey Plaza represents. It discusses the related history of Dallas, George Bannerman Dealey and his Dallas Morning News, the politics of Dallas, and events leading up to that fateful Presidential visit. It covers the history that even most of the JFK Assassination experts, researchers, students and authors do not know.

“Your book is great -- fills a void in all the written works on Dallas / JFK.” - Robert White, Researcher, and owner of the traveling JFK personal item collection Let Us Begin: The JFK Presidential Exhibit
